Who we are
This website is operated by Bohemian Bar & Restaurant, J.E. Irausquin Blvd 83, Palm Beach, Aruba ("Bohemian", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit bohemianaruba.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
We keep the data we collect to what's needed to run the restaurant and respond to you:
- Private Events inquiries. When you submit the private event form, we collect your name, email, phone number, company (if given), and the event details you provide (occasion, date, guest count, preferences, budget range, comments). This is used only to prepare and follow up on your quotation.
- Direct contact. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and, where relevant, for our own records.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our server automatically logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running reliably.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Reservations via OpenTable
Table reservations on this site are handled through OpenTable, an independent third-party service. When you book a table, the information you provide (name, contact details, party size, etc.) is collected and processed by OpenTable under its own privacy policy, not by us directly. We receive your reservation details in order to prepare for your visit. Please review OpenTable's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.
Other third-party services
A few parts of this site load content from other providers, each governed by their own privacy practices:
- Google Maps. Our "Location" link takes you to Google Maps on Google's own website.
- YouTube. Entertainment videos are embedded from YouTube; playing one loads content from Google/YouTube.
- Google Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google's font service, which involves your browser making a request to Google.
These providers may set their own cookies or collect technical data (such as your IP address) when their content loads, independent of us.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on: your consent (submitting a form to us), the steps needed to respond to your inquiry or prepare a quotation (contractual/pre-contractual necessity), and our legitimate interest in running and securing our website.
How long we keep it
Private dining inquiries and related correspondence are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your event and for a limited period afterward for our records, then deleted or anonymized. Server logs are retained only briefly for security purposes.
